Securing life cycle

In a context of strengthening regulations in the energy sector (NIS 2, CER, CRA, NZIA…), DIATEAM Hybrid Cyber Range should ideally be used throughout the whole product life cycle, from its design to its decommissioning.

The major interest of the Hybrid Cyber Range is indeed to model and secure the whole life cycle of digital products, to perform operations which would not be feasible in production for operational, security or safety matters, a question often raised in the energy sector. It is also very well suited to implement security maintenance, or patch management processes, e.g. to perform non-regression tests, especially with long life cycles as  they are in the energy sector.

Raising awareness, educating, training

Hybrid Cyber Range is obviously a perfect tool to raise awareness, educate and train for cyber crisis management.

Awareness-raising is usually intended for executives and decision makers, project managers, technicians, but also for the workforce as a whole to have them face cyber threats that are specific to the energy sector, as well as operational consequences that are potentially critical for the sector. Hybrid Cyber Range also makes it possible to produce theoretical and practical training content, and to generate training paths for the staff working in energy sector. Finally, training is about making technical or operational cyber crisis scenarios by simulating cyber incident scenarios in conditions that are very close to reality, also when multiple actors (public, private sector: designers, operators, contractors…), see multiple countries, are concerned. These trainings, which DIATEAM has been a specialist of for many years, allow to strengthen response plans, to test coordination between technical and operational teams in order to improve decision-making and reactivity in a crisis situation.
